The short film follows Mana, a Japanese-American woman who arrives in Tokyo seeking to find a break from her life as an artist, and Haru, a Japanese woman from the countryside who dreams of becoming an artist herself one day. They meet under unique circumstances, and their story unfolds. It's a story that is not often seen in mainstream cinema: a queer Asian and Asian-American love story.

The film began as a possible project idea during the director's stay at an artist residency in Tokyo. As the director became more committed to film-making and cinematography, and more aware of the challenges of representation in narrative cinema, the idea soon solidified into an international independent film production.
